Obtaining a Permanent Residence Permit

The situation

A foreign national living and working in Poland for several years wanted to secure permanent residence. The facts of the case were strong, but the documentation trail was not: periods of stay under different permits, changes of employer, and gaps in the paperwork that had accumulated over the years — each of which can put a permanent-residence application at risk.

What I did

  • Audited the client's full residence history and identified which periods counted towards the requirement — and which needed supporting evidence
  • Rebuilt the documentation file: employment records, tax and insurance confirmations, certified translations
  • Prepared and filed the application and represented the client before the voivodeship office throughout the proceedings

The result

The permit was granted. The client's status in Poland is now permanent — no more renewal cycles, and a clear path onward should they ever decide to apply for citizenship.

Details of this matter have been generalised to protect client confidentiality. Every case depends on its own facts; a past result does not guarantee the outcome of any future matter.
